An exhausting day at Crystal Palace saw the Kingston Girls team face the very best London has to offer in girls football.  On a very hot day, the girls who had been together for only 5 weeks, were asked to work very hard against an extremely high standard of opposition, many from London's professional clubs.

After the early set back of loosing one player, and another injured meant the team had to raise their game and put into practice everything they had learned over the last few weeks under the careful guidance of coach and president of the Corinthian-Casuals Youth Section, Martin Woodroffe.

The girls fought hard and never gave up.  They chased and harried the various opposition and lost only one game in the morning and scoring 11 goals, winning three games in the whole tournament.  It's hard to believe they have only been together as a team for a few short weeks.  During that time their development has been incredible and winning the Kingstonian 6-a-side tournament in May, is a testament to their outstanding improvement.

Well done girls!  See you again next year!
